Abstract

This paper presents a system that focuses on improving event reporting in crisis situation management. The idea is to provide reporters with software with an intelligent adaptive interface based on dynamic scripting to ensure report consistency and minimize composing time. The dynamic scripting approach is modeled after human reasoning with specific knowledge. Our approach differs from other approaches to adaptive interfaces in that, instead of trying to fit the users' interpretation of observations into sensible reports, we use possible crisis scenario as the starting point of the reports. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
