Abstract

Introduction: We studied the perceptions of the pharmacy students on the transition from school to university education. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 110 first-year students of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) at University Sains Malaysia (USM). The data were analyzed using SPSS (v 16.0). Descriptive statistics (frequencies and percentages), Chi-square test and the Cramer’s V test were used to find a possible association between the demographic profile and the students’ perception on the comparison of the educational experience of school to university.
