Implementasi Ekstrakurikuler Rohani Islam (ROHIS) Dalam Penguatan Karakter Keteladanan Peserta Didik

Abstract

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler mempunyai peranan penting dalam proses penguatan karakter keteladanan terhadap peserta didik. Peserta didik yang memiliki nilai yang akan menunjukkan perilaku yang baik kepada Allah SWT, sesama manusia, dirinya sendiri dan juga lingkungan sekitarnya. Untuk keberhasilan penguatan karakter keteladanan, pembina kegiatan ekstrakurikuler diharapkan mampu menguatkan nilai keteladanan. Pendidikan Agama Islam pada akhir-akhir ini mempunyai permasalahan diantaranya adalah pendidikan agama menjadi sorotan tajam masyarakat. Banyaknya perilaku menyimpang peserta didik dan remaja pada umumnya yang tidak sesuai dengan norma agama akhir-akhir ini mendorong berbagai pihak mempertanyakan efektivitas pelaksanaan pendidikan agama di sekolah. Melihat permasalahan tersebut maka perlu adanya beberapa terobosan yang salah satunya dapat dilakukan melalui penanaman karakter yang baik sejak dini yang diterapkan di sekolah baik melalui pembelajaran di kelas maupun kegiatan lain seperti ekstrakurikuler ROHIS. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif lapangan, dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Garut yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Profil ekstrakurikuler ROHIS di MAN 2 Garut (2) Penguatan karakter keteladanan peserta didik di MAN 2 Garut (3) Implementasi ekstrakurikuler ROHIS di MAN 2 Garut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk memperkuat karakter keteladanan pada peserta didik diperlukan adanya pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dan pemberian contoh/teladan salahsatunya melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ROHIS dengan langkah penguatan serta adanya metode pengajaran, teladan, pembiasaan dan pemberian hadiah.
