Since music is a universal language, singing helps improve body and emotional awareness, facilitates memorization, generates well-being and provides tools for conflict resolution. In our center, we give importance to the use of music as a vehicle for intercultural integration, facilitating communication, solidarity and respect for the cultural diversity of the people. The choir began as a recreational activity during school recess with the aim of taking part of the center's celebrations. It was found that it favored the inclusion of students regardless of their nationality, gender, age, culture, ethnicity ., by breathing a good atmosphere of coexistence and companionship through the activities carried out. Currently our choir has 38 students from 14 different nationalities and ethnicities. The methodology used is active and participatory: It gives more importance to the development of emotional intelligence than to vocal virtuosity. The teaching staff want them to be respectful, constant, empathic and thus we work not from authoritarianism, but from simplicity, patience, perseverance, affection and effort. On specific occasions, we make use of the new technologies that our center offers, for example, projector, computer, etc.
