Abstract

Epidermoid cyst was seen in the tenth thoracic vertebral body of a 4-year-old female Samoyed dog and in the terminal phalanx of the fifth digit of the left forepaw of a 5-year-old spayed mongrel dog. The cysts contained caseous, gray-white material and were lined with layers of squamous, granular or basal cells filled with keratin. Cholesterol clefts were embedded in the vertebral and phalangeal bones. © 1974, American College of Veterinary Pathologists. All rights reserved.
