El trabajo penitenciario y el reingreso a los establecimientos penitenciarios en el Perú

Abstract

The objective is to estimate the causality between the conditions of penitentiary work on re-entry to penitentiary establishments in Peru during the year 2022. The methodology is of an explanatory level with a mixed approach. A serious problem is evident regarding access to prison work, since in the vast majority of regional offices less than half of inmates access prison work. Observing that there is a pattern around greater access to prison work, lower rate of prison re-entry. Concluding that prison work is at poor levels in the search for resocializing the inmate. Requiring penitentiary policies that help to reeducate, rehabilitate and reintegrate an inmate into society, with work skills that allow achieving the goals of the sentence.
