Acta theriol., 24, 37 : 522-526 [With 1 Table & 2 Figs.] Young adult common shrews (Sorex araneus Linnaeus, 1758) kept in a cage in autumn showed a high level of locom otory activity between 20 and 05 hrs. A ctivity correlated positively w ith the relative hum idity of the air. A ctivity also tended to increase w ith the tem ­ perature, but this effect was not statistically significant. [Dept.
