Braham states that the paper by Huff and Vogel is an important contribution to the growing body of literature concerning possible influences of urban-industrial areas on local weather elements. He expands on some of the Huff and Vogel discussions, draws attention to alternative ways of considering some of the evidence and urges caution against too liberal an acceptance of some of their conclusions. In their reply, Huff and Vogel argue that the sampling period was representative and defend their methodology: they criticise some of the data Braham uses in his discussion of their work. - after Authors
