Abstract

A reflection is presented from the taxonomy of Sousa Santos, applied to the university context. Being that from the perspective of the educational tradition, cognitive justice represents a counter-university current, the challenge is the demonumentalization of knowledge from within the cradle of knowledge, starting from the crisis of the current paradigm and the necessary recognition of silenced and excluded knowledge in university space. It is a theoretical review for the promotion of cognitive justice and finally a proposal for the use of the contributions of Guillermo Bonfil Batalla, for work in multicultural contexts.
