Abstract

Today, commercialization, or “going to market” (Friedman, 2002), is pa rticularly challenging, especially given the pressure to do it quickly . Indeed, it has been claimed that the need for speed in development a nd speed in going to market have a tremendous impact on the dynamics o f technology transfer and is the most important driver of change, whic h means that a firm’s ability to develop and market products and techn ologies quickly is crucial (Amesse & Cohendet, 2001).
