Abstract

Ecology is a wide spread concept, there is a lot of theories based on it, the main aim of the concept is to focus on the element on its contest, studying the system. The term of Ecology in Urban planning and cities has been developing through the time in the literatures and there is a need to eliminate the Misleading in the understanding of the concept of Ecological, this research focuses on tracking down the evolvement of that concept and how the focus shifted from the spatial and social to the environmental, resulting in a state of complementarity in dealing with the issues that cities face. As a result, it's referred to as the integrative stage.
