Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between perceived organizational support, work engagement, and career commitment in generation Z and millennials. Researchers also examined the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between perceived organizational support and career commitment. In this study, 125 questionnaires were distributed online to employees working at digital start-ups in West Java Province. We also carried out interviews with key respondents to dig deeper understanding about the causal relationship. The data obtained was then processed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study indicate that there is a direct effect of perceived organizational support on work engagement and career commitment. In addition, work engagement was also found to have an effect on career commitment. Then, based on the mediation test, this study proves that perceived organizational support has an indirect effect on career commitment through work engagement as a mediator. hasil p.
