The article discusses barriers that hinder Asian Pacific Americans (APA) to achieve the American Dream in the entertainment industry. Topics include statistics showing lower number of APA directors, actors and screenwriters in the movie and television industry and the bias of the judiciary, society and entertainment leaders. Also mentioned are the Hollywood insular culture, self-regulation and the colorblind casting and debiasing programs to ease the so-called bamboo ceiling.
