Abstract

Comprehensive management of panic disorder involves a wide array treatments and interventions to reduce symptoms and increase functionality. This chapter provides an overview of the pharmacologic treatment of panic disorder including aspects of assessment, treatment selection and the biologic mechanisms of the illness. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2009.
