Abstract

The analysis of magnetocaloric effect in microcrystalline and nanocrystalline TbFe11Ti and TbFe8Ti intermetallic compounds was carried out. It was found that the dependence between the reduction of the grain size below a single domain size and value of magnetocaloric effect has a complicated nature. Probably, it is connected with the influence of intergrain exchange interaction in nanocrystalline alloys. © 2009 IOP Publishing Ltd.
