Abstract

Kata kunci: rabies, serum anti-rabies, anakAbstract Rabies is a serious public health problem, especially in the regions and has been included in regional programs but neglected during the pandemic. A four-year-old boy taken to TC Hillers Maumere Hospital came in complaining of fever and nausea, vomiting more than five times. From the history through his family, it is known that the patient had a history of being bitten by a dog in the face and right wrist area in the 14 days before complaints appeared. In this case, the patient has received wound care and the second dose of Anti-Rabies Vaccine (VAR) but did not get Anti-Rabies Serum (SAR). In cases with high-risk bite areas, VAR should be accompanied by SAR to reduce mortality.  Keywords: rabies, anti-rabies serum, child
