Abstract
Covid-19 transformed the company and decision-making in organizations, turning information and communication technology into an essential tool. The objective of the article is to analyze the use made of new information and communication technologies in micro, small and medium-sized Colombian companies. The design is non-experimental of a transectional type, under a quantitative approach, using the survey as an information gathering technique, and a questionnaire as an instrument. The sample is of 213 entrepreneurs, statistically selected under the systemic jump technique, considering as population 4,744 of these companies in Ocaña Norte de Santander, registered in the Chamber of Commerce. The results show management skills based on ICT, being the use of computers and emails a significant strength, while there are shortcomings in the use of electronic transactions, mobile applications, web pages and networks. The research shows a technological lag in the companies analyzed; reason that supports in conclusion the need to reorient management processes to achieve higher levels of productivity and competitiveness, implementing technological tools, for which it is necessary to train entrepreneurs, ICT management skills that allow them to achieve differential advantages.
