Zinah dalam Q.S. An-Nur (24): 3: Pendekatan Ma’na Cum Maghza

Abstract

In the Qur’an, the meaning of zinah can be understood as a relationship that is not a mahram and is identical with women, as in Surah an-Nur the word zinah means jewelry attached to a woman’s body. Where as in the Qur'an the word zinah is not only interpreted with one meaning, but has a variety of meanings that change substantively and can become a noun. This library research and contextual study about zinah analysis from QS. An-Nur (24): 31 (Ma’na cum Maghza Approaches). The result showed that zinah in Al-Qur’an meant as jewelry, beauty, decoration, luxury, and action. While meaning of zinah in QS. An-Nur (24): 31 by used Ma’na cum Maghza theory which meant 1) From textual study (language grammatical) of word zinah in QS. An- Nur (24): 31 were jewelry, decoration, decorate and luxury, 2) From contextual study from word zinah in QS. An-Nur (24): 31 in micro historical was prohibition to hit their foot into the ground until their anklet sounded, while in macro historical was prohibition to show their jewelry, and 3) The significance of word zinah in QS. An-Nur (24): 31 was a prohibition to show their jewelry unless for its mahram and prohibition to show off and riya.
