Abstract

This mini-review outlines three underutlized approaches for studying meat-based biomarkers in archaeological paleofeces that we expect will increase in significance within the field. Myoglobin, stable isotope, and aDNA analyses all have untapped potental to inform meat-based dietary consttuents.
