Abstract
Subak Jatiluwih is a world cultural heritage that sustainability depends on the availability of water and climate. Therefore, adaptation and mitigation efforts are needed in order to support the sustainability of the only cultural heritage in Bali. The aim of the study was to analyze farmers' responses to climate change and rainfall in Subak Jatiluwih, Tabanan Bali and arrange cropping pattern in order to climate change adaptation. This research was conducted in September 2022-January 2023. Analysis of primary data related to knowledge and responses of Subak Jatiluwih members to climate and adaptation and mitigation activities was carried out descriptively using a Likert scale. The results of the analysis of rainfall and air temperature processed using trend analysis and Oldeman's classification show that the annual average air temperature in Subak Jatiluwih increased by 1.6°C during the 1991-2020 period. Heavy rainfall and extreme rain over the past 15 years have been more frequent than the previous 15 years. Increases in average air temperature, heavy rains and extreme rains indicate that climate change has occurred in Subak Jatiluwih. The results of the response analysis showed that 54.25% of Subak Jatiluwih members had carried out adaptation activities to climate change in agricultural activities and 69.75% had carried out climate change mitigation activities. It is necessary to change the cropping pattern in Subak Jatiluwih to avoid failure of the rice harvest due to climate change with the rice-rice-plants cropping pattern.
