Abstract

This research explores the mechanism through which organizations influence individual lecturers' scientific research activities. The findings demonstrate that institutional support not only has a direct effect on research motivation and outcomes but also exerts an indirect effect through faculty members' sense of obligation and self-confidence. The organizational impact on individuals was examined via quantitative analysis of a sample of 475 university lecturers in Vietnam via linear structural model analysis via SPSS software. The results reveal that organizational support directly enhances research productivity. Additionally, such support significantly influences lecturers’ sense of obligation and belief in their research abilities, thereby indirectly fostering research output. However, an increased sense of obligation and selfconfidence alone does not directly enhance research engagement. On the basis of these findings, several recommendations are proposed to strengthen lecturers' research capacity and commitment while optimizing the management of scientific and technological activities to develop appropriate and effective support models.
