MEDIA DIGITAL SEBAGAI BENTUK ADAPTASI SENIMAN DI ERA PANDEMI

Abstract

Covid-19 is a global pandemic that has a massive impact on all sectors of human activity, especially in physical events. Digital technology as a new media continues to develop as a form of human adaptation during the pandemic. One of the activities that adapt to digital media is an art exhibition. This study used qualitative research methods. This research used Clifford Geertz’s interpretation theory to show how the artist’s point of view on the development of offline exhibitions into virtual exhibitions as the object. The results of this research using interpretation theory can show how virtual exhibitions generate positive and negative responses in their implementation and how to adjust art exhibitions in digital media according to the orientation of the artist.
