Jogos olímpicos de londres 2012: brasileiros e brasileiras em foco

Abstract

We intend to analyze the images displayed in the newspapers "O Globo" and "O Dia", based on the gender hierarchy. We going to show how do these newspapers displays male and female athletes pictures? We analyzed 519 using the technique of image analysis. We conclude that the media coverage (re) produce stereotypes, prejudice, sexism and even new values and attitudes that praises dominant views of men and women in today's society.
