Abstract
Green travel is essential to the sustainability of the environment and transportation and considerably contributes to city decarbonization. The impact of the implementation of the dual-carbon strategy on individual green travel remains uncertain. This paper uses an extended theory of planned behaviour model to explore the influencing factors and driving mechanisms of the green travel intentions and behaviour of urban individuals at this time. T-tests and one-way ANOVA are used to analyse the impact of individual socio-economic attributes on green travel behaviour. It is found that the psychological factors affecting individual green travel have changed after the implementation of the dual-carbon strategy. This is demonstrated by the insensitivity of green travel intentions to personal attitude and descriptive norm. The unchanged part is that habit is still the most important factor influencing green travel intentions and behaviour, and subjective norm and perceived behavioural control also have a positive effect on green travel intentions. Finally, green travel policy recommendations for different populations are presented. The findings of this study provide some theoretical basis and direction for the development and optimization of transportation policies to promote green travel.
