Abstract

In this work, cutting force, F, is analysed as a function of cutting speed (v) and feed (a) for dry turning processes of AA2024 (Al-Cu) alloy bars. A parametric model F=F(v,a) is proposed by combining F(v) and F(a) single relations. The parametric relation so obtained allows predicting de cutting force values for machining conditions that depend on those variables.
