Abstract

Genetic variation was studied at 8 allozyme loci in six severely endangered wild Spanish populations of Salmo salar located at the southernmost geographical limit of European Atlantic salmon. Low levels of variation were detected and no significant deviations from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were found. © The Fisheries Society of the British Isles, 2005.
