Preserving Cameroon’s cultures and traditions: Using app and cloud computing

Abstract

This study presents an undergraduate IT project in mobile development aimed at developing a CAMCT App that will greatly help in preserving and later on disseminating consistent and accurate data and information on Cameroon’s cultures and traditions from one generation to another. The team used a Rapid application development (RAD) methodology; an agile strategy with an approach to minimize the planning stage and maximize prototype development. They also applied a cross-platform app tools for design and development. To achieve our objective, they determined and categorized different cultures and traditions in Cameroon, embedded multimedia elements and surveyed the perceived benefits of the end users.
