Abstract

Gout disease is known as gout disease or arthritis gout. Gout is an inflammatory joint disease that can cause pain, heat, swelling, and stiffness in joints. This disease is caused by excessive uric acid content in the blood resulting in a buildup of acid crystals in joints and other soft tissues. The aim of this study was to explore the effect of deep breath therapy to reduce pain scale during Range of Motion (ROM) in patients with acidic acid in PuskesmasGedong Air Bandar Lampung. Methods used in this study used a qualitative case study approach. This type of case study approach in research is using a multi-case study. The study subjects were taken 2 people who fit the inclusion criteria. The intervention here used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and deep breath relaxation soup. The intervention was given twice a day for 3 days. The results of this study indicate that after the deep breath relaxation intervention for 3 consecutive days the 2 responses were able to reduce the pain scale, which before the intervention the patient complained of pain (6-4) and became mild pain (1-3). The conclusion from the above research is proven to be effective in reducing pain during ROM in both respondents who experience gout joint pain and can be used as one of the non-pharmacological nursing interventions in reducing pain levels.
