Abstract

This paper highlights the importance of sustainable practices in supply chain management, focusing on upcycling as a key approach to transforming discarded materials into valuable products. It proposes a conceptual framework based on state-of-art and action research, which integrates traditional wood upcycling with secondary material recovery, addressing gaps in the existing literature and promoting collaboration among manufacturers, waste managers, and designers. The framework emphasizes circular economy practices in the wood sector, aiming to enhance resource efficiency, reduce waste, foster innovation, and support job creation.
