Abstract

This study investigates the anodizing of aluminum alloy (3003) in sulfuric acid solution to evaluate the characteristics of the anodic film. Variables include current density, electrolyte concentration, temperature, and time. Optimum conditions achieved were 3.5 A/dm², 10 vol.% acid, 19°C, and 50 min. Results show anodizing increases surface roughness, hardness, and corrosion resistance compared to bare specimens.
