Abstract

To evaluate the relevance of the Nursing program of the Santiago de Cali University (Colombia), from the perspective of the graduate and the employer, a descriptive study was carried out, the methodology proposes in addition to a conception, a defense of the graduate as a valid actor to provide information and to issue concepts that allow to appreciate the quality of the higher education in which it was formed, exercising a double role: Evaluator as a graduate, as well as the quality and relevance of the program, as well as of the institution; The employer was also taken into account, who complements the information on the graduate’s labor inclusion, providing a comprehensive figure of the quality and relevance of the training. The study managed to identify the relevance of Nursing training, almost all graduates work in positions for which they were trained, making their impact evident in the region, there is a relationship between the activities carried out in their professional performance and what they learned in the academic program. It is concluded that graduates positively value acquired professional skills and abilities and the good image of the university, as well as development of skills and social relationships necessary for good job performance.
