Abstract

The main objectives of this study were to (1) analyze benthic foraminiferal assemblages in two neighbouring estuaries; (2) analyze the information on the impact of pollution provided by these bioindicators; and (3) investigate the relationship between foraminiferans and the ragworm Nereis diversicolor, including predation. The first step consists of establishing an inventory of the species in relation to the positions of the samples in the estuarine ecosystems.
