Abstract

Ni(II)-2-vinyl-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin reacts with 1,4-naphthoquinone and 1,4-benzoquinone to afford mixtures of rigid porphyrin-quinone derivatives with extended π-systems. The structures of these novel compounds were deduced from detailed NMR experiments. ©ARKAT.
