Abstract
Thorough quality control testing of each gBlocks Gene Fragment ensures that >80% of recombinant colonies* obtained from cloning each gBlocks Gene Fragment will contain the desired insert. In some cases, complex sequences may have reduced fidelity, which can be addressed by sequencing additional clones. * Note: This applies to non-toxic or bioactive sequences. In rare cases of complex sequences or very long fragments, the proportion of correct fragments may fall below 80%. gBlocks Gene Fragments Libraries gBlocks Gene Fragments Libraries are pools of gBlocks Gene Fragments that can contain mixed bases. Incorporation of mixed bases (or variable regions) into a gene fragment provides an ideal new tool for applications such as recombinant antibody generation, protein engineering, functional gene walks, vaccine development. Depending on the number of variations tested, gBlocks Gene Fragments Libraries can reduce the cost of an individual sequence construct to a fraction of $1 (USD).
