Abstract

The design of very high-powered nuclear reactors and their application in producing nuclear energy were discussed. The design of the neutron-initiated nuclear chain reaction and its use in nuclear-energy producing reactors was investigated. The critical issues like water-cooling, use of graphite moderators, uranium, reactor coolants and xenon poisoning were also discussed.
