Abstract

In this work, LiMn1.9Fe0.1O4 and LiMn 1.5Fe0.5O4 were prepared by sol-gel method according to proper stoichiometric ratio. It is then calcined at 850°C for 24 hours. Characterization studies of final products were done using XRD, FESEM, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge - discharge characteristics. Phase composition of the samples were studied from the XRD patterns obtained. For the microstructural studies, FESEM results show an average particle size of the bulk particles. From the charge - discharge characteristics, it showed that these samples exhibited good discharge capacities. © 2010 American Institute of Physics.
