Abstract
The article looks at the milestones of the development of logic as an important discipline in secular and religious education in Tuva. It also reveals the crucial role of this academic subject at different levels of education, as well as for students of humanities and technical profiles. Logic has often been featured among Buddhist subjects, and thus it appeared in the system of education with Buddhism entering the region. However, the basic understanding of logic has always existed in traditional knowledge of Tuvan people and was reflected in folklore. Logic plays an important role in the current education of lamas, and it is with mastering logic that its basics started. Tuva's secular education includes logic in educational programs at different levels (general secondary education and higher education) and two profiles (humanitarian and mathematical). A. M. Borzenko, G. A. Troiakova and others made a great contribution to the development of mathematical logic. An example of G. O. Litskevich's long and successful teaching practice at the State Lyceum of the Republic of Tuva shows that the study of logic helps get a command of other related subjects in the humanities. Logic is studied at a number of faculties of Tuvan State University. As ethnic and cultural peculiarities do exist in educational process, some Tuvan terms associated with logic must be mentioned as well.
