Abstract

A practical guide for owners and managers of still waters and rivers used for recreation, fisheries, conservation, or ornament. The first main sections deal with fundamental biology, weed growth and management by mechanical, environmental, biological and chemical means. There is then a section on identification, characteristics and control of those species of weeds which commonly cause problems. The identification keys are accompanied by line drawings. The appendices give useful information on, eg, comparative costs, UK addresses, types of sprayers, and further reading. -after Author
