Abstract

A dot matrix type plasma display panel refresher driving system, which is used for displaying characters and figures, has been completed. The realization of this system is due to development of a high level brightness panel and a new driving circuit which has high speed switching characteristics. Designated PX0501-32, the plasma display panel is designed for 256 characters (32 characters multiplied by 8 lines) with the 7 multiplied by 9 dots character pattern. The PX0503-20 has 21 row electrodes and 128 column electrodes utilized for alpha-numeric characters using the 7 multiplied by 9 or 5 multiplied by 7 dot-pattern and for Chinese characters using the 19 multiplied by 21 dot-pattern.
