Design, synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of novel hybrid compounds to treat sickle cell disease symptoms

Abstract

This overview relates the design, synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of six compounds designed by molecular hybridization that showed relevant effects for the treatment of sickle cell disease symptoms, as could be evidenced by in vivo and in vitro assays.
