Abstract

The article reports on the encouragement of novice authors to turn away from committing plagiarism within the cyber-digital environment using the Internet as a means for research tool in South Africa. It explains that plagiarism is a significant problem amongst first time authors and researchers in the cyber-digital environment. It provides enlightenment about novice authorship, plagiarism, the cyber-digital environment and fair-use doctrine by explaining its concepts for proper information and legal actions.
