Abstract

The article reports on the January-June 2021 study on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic to the viral load testing program for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in countries supported by the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). Other topics include the HIV infection control goal of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and the availability of antiretroviral treatment (ART).
