The authors describe the complexity of the therapeutic orientations in the French health system for a postnatal depressed woman. They introduce the concept of orientation of choice and describe the components of the assessment to take into account: maternal theory, familial and cultural context, signs of severity, local resources.© Médecine & Hygiéne.
