Abstract

Art making use of digital noise and errors has been exhibited in recent years. Many of these works have been classified as "glitch" and are forming a new trend in multimedia art. "Datamoshing", using noise or errors in video imagery, is a technique in the field of glitch art. While one can produce a video that is a unique representation of datamoshing, real-time datamoshing using input from web cameras has not been achieved. Software is proposed for using a web camera to extemporarily datamosh video.
