Pharmacy services by pharmacists at public health centers in Banten province are not yet optimal. This can be seen from the number of use of antihypertensive drugs and the prevalence of hypertension which is increasing from year to year and is one of the biggest causes of death in Banten province for the category of non-communicable diseases. This requires pharmacists to further optimize their role by increasing competence through training. This study aims to assess the level of knowledge and ability of pharmacists at the health center in Banten province and to find out whether there is a significant effect before and after clinical pharmacy training for pharmacists at the public health center. This study is a pre-experimental study with a one-group design that was given a pre-test and posttest. The training covers two main topics. The first topic is about communication skills and the second topic is about anti-hypertensive therapy, with various case studies at the public health center. The results of this study showed that the average score after training was 71.64 which was higher than the score before training, which was 51.23. A total of 72 pharmacists (out of a total of 73 pharmacists) had a higher score after training than before training. The counseling value of the training participants did not meet the standards, but the training pharmacists gained experience and good counseling techniques for hypertension patients at the Puskesmas, which could be implemented in their respective workplaces. Online training in the pandemic era has been proven to increase the knowledge and ability of pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services on antihypertensives at the Banten provincial health center as assessed from the test results before and after the training.
