Abstract

Two new cationic iridium(III) complexes with cyclometalating 1-phenylindazole or 2-phenyl-1,2,3-triazole ligands, [(C^N) 2Ir(4, 4′-di-tert-butyl-2,2′-dipyridyl)](PF 6), exhibit yellow or green phosphorescence with quantum yields and excited state lifetimes of up to 45% and 840 ns in argon-saturated dichloromethane solution at room temperature. © 2012 Elsevier B.V.
