Abstract

21st century education requires students to think critically in the learning process. To support students' critical thinking skills, they often have problems with the learning model applied by the teacher during the learning process, for that reason, to support students' critical thinking skills by applying the discovery learning model. One of the learning models that are considered effective for improving students' critical thinking skills is the guided inquiry learning model. This study uses a meta-analysis method with the calculation of the effect size. Based on the meta-analysis research that has been done, it was found that effective learning materials with this learning model are business and energy materials, with the help of the most effective media used, namely video at the X grade high school level
