Risk perception, knowledge, social distancing measures of covid-19 pandemic among south indian population

Abstract

Background: The objective of this study was to monitor variables that are critical for behavioral change in the South Indian population and the measures taken to avoid transmission of COVID-19 pandemic including risk perceptions, knowledge, and social distancing measures. Materials and Methods: An online questionnaire was designed with multiple data in a cross-sectional pattern which was applied to the South Indian population. The appropriate data was collected and analyzed considering the current COVID-19 pandemic using bar graphs through SPSS software. Results: The frequency pattern of the collected data is shown in the study. Conclusion: The unprecedented and dynamically evolving current crises make it hard to predict actual outcomes of appropriate risk management and behavioral policies without clear facts on mortality rate going up and community transmission.
