Abstract

Describes an efficient method for finding straight lines in edge maps. The algorithm is based on a pyramid structure. Each layer in the pyramid splits the complete image into a number of subimages. The algorithms is bottom up. The algorithm is quite efficient. It has a particularly attractive architecture suitable for parallel implementation. -after Authors
