Abstract

Eight analogs of the Olive fly pheromone, 1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane, have been prepd. and their biol. activity detd. by electro-antennog. and lab. bioassays. The nor-analog 1,7-dioxaspiro[5,4]decane showed attraction comparable to the natural pheromone in lab. bioassays, but low activity in the field. [on SciFinder (R)]
